Why I’m shifting my morning rituals this week…

Hello Reader,

Happy and healthy weekend to you! I hope you had a wonderful week.

This week required a small but important pause in my usual herbal rituals. My body reminded me of something I always share with others: true wellness begins with listening.

When acid reflux returned unexpectedly, I had to step back and adjust my daily teas and routines to give my body the calm and care it needed.

Most mornings in my small backyard are still about stillness and strength, but sometimes the strongest thing we can do is change course.

Weekly Wellness: This week on the blog, I shared why I temporarily paused some of my favorite bush teas and shifted to gentler support like soursop leaf tea and aloe vera water while my body resets. If you missed it, you can read the full reflection here: Link to Blog.

The Wisdom: Listening to our bodies isn’t so different from how we grow businesses. In my years of media sales, I learned that sustainable growth also comes from paying attention to the signals. If your “roots” (your growth strategy) aren’t strong, your business won’t weather the storm. You can’t just post and hope; you have to cultivate relationships.

Best wishes for the new week ahead!

Gillian

P.S. I have been asked many times how I’ve been quietly building my own brand and income while staying tucked away in my garden. 🌿 The truth is, it comes down to having a simple system for turning conversations into clients.

My Wellness Journey: Why I’m Choosing Health, Wellness & Food Security at 50+

Hi Reader, I hope your week went well and that you are having a wonderful weekend! 💚 Today I found myself reflecting on the very first blog post I published on my wellness journey, and it reminded me why I started this path in the first place. My wellness journey didn’t begin with perfection or trends. It began with loss, reflection, and a decision to take my health more seriously after losing my mother in 2017 and facing my own respiratory health scare the following year. That season pushed...

Its my birthday

Hello Reader, Today is my birthday 🎂 and I will be honest with you - this one feels different. It is more intentional than birthdays have felt in a long time. This week, I decided to enter a new year of life on my own terms. Not pretending I have everything figured out. Just slower mornings, simple herbal rituals, and a deeper commitment to listening to what my body actually needs. It has been one of the most grounding weeks I have had in a long time. 🌿 THIS WEEK ON THE BLOG I wrote about the...
