Why I’m Choosing Wellness & Intentional Living at 50+

Hi Reader,

I hope your week went well and that you are having a wonderful weekend! 💚

Today I found myself reflecting on the very first blog post I published on my wellness journey, and it reminded me why I started this path in the first place.

My wellness journey didn’t begin with perfection or trends. It began with loss, reflection, and a decision to take my health more seriously after losing my mother in 2017 and facing my own respiratory health scare the following year.

That season pushed me to start researching herbal teas, nutrition, wellness habits, and more intentional ways of living. It also brought back memories of growing up in Jamaica, watching my mother grow food and herbs right in our yard.

Now at 50+, I’m reconnecting with wellness and food security, growing in a container, developing this simple habit.

I may not have acres of land, but I do have the willingness to begin, and that’s enough.

If you’ve been thinking about taking better care of yourself, growing something small, or living more intentionally, let this encourage you: you do not have to start perfectly. You simply have to start.

Hello Reader, Back in 2017, I registered Mystique Professional Services with a clear dream: to build an Entertainment PR and Sponsorship Marketing business. And then... I put it on a shelf. For nine years, I made excuses. I told myself I didn't have the right connections, that the industry was too crowded, and most recently, "Who wants to work with a woman in her 50s launching something new? The truth? I had a severe case of imposter syndrome. Fear was stealing my joy and making me feel like...

A plan, a fresh brew, and two ruffle hats

Hello Reader, I am sitting down at my desk today with a hot cup of Cuban Oregano tea - bold, aromatic, and deeply comforting. On my crochet hooks this week?
