A new plant, a cup of tea, and a new week ahead 🌿

Hey Reader,

Happy Sunday to you. I hope you are easing into the day with something warm in your hand and a little quiet before the week picks up speed.

I am starting this new week with a simple intention. My cousin recently brought home an oregano plant, and I have decided I want to grow my own from it, right here in my backyard container garden.

I plan to take a cutting from her plant and see what it takes to root it, grow it, and eventually brew it into tea.

I do not have all the answers yet. I am learning this one step at a time, the same way I approached every herb currently growing in my containers.

I put together the full story on my blog, including:

  • What I am learning about growing oregano in a container
  • Whether it truly needs cuttings versus root division
  • Fresh versus dried for tea
  • Two traditional Jamaican herbal blends worth trying.

I would love for you to read it and follow along as I take my first cutting. Click here to read the full story.

Wishing you a restful Sunday and a week ahead that grows exactly as you need it to.

Blessed love always, 💚

A plan, a fresh brew, and two ruffle hats

The quick takeaway: Having a solid plan does not mean knowing every single step ahead. Real confidence is not about rigid certainty; it is about holding a steady compass, trusting...

Letter from the garden - wellness and tea - newsletter

Hello Reader, How have you been? I hope your week was all that you desired and more. This week reminded me that some of the most meaningful growth happens quietly. There wasn't a big milestone or dramatic breakthrough. Instead, there were small moments that made me pause and smile. I have been away from home for a little over a week. As such, I miss watching my herbs grow, harvesting fresh green mint for another cup of tea, and taking time to be present. I will get back to it soon, though,...

My Wellness Journey: Why I’m Choosing Health, Wellness & Food Security at 50+

Hi Reader, I hope your week went well and that you are having a wonderful weekend! 💚 Today I found myself reflecting on the very first blog post I published on my wellness journey, and it reminded me why I started this path in the first place. My wellness journey didn’t begin with perfection or trends. It began with loss, reflection, and a decision to take my health more seriously after losing my mother in 2017 and facing my own respiratory health scare the following year. That season pushed...
